This February 19-21, I’m thrilled to join that kind of community at the Creepy Book Club Retreat 2026, where I’ll be spending the entire weekend with readers, writers, and lovers of all things mysterious, suspenseful and thriller under the warm desert blue skies of Scottsdale!
Hosted by The Creepy Book Club, this retreat is part writer’s getaway, part reader’s dream, and part haunted house of literary delights. I’ll be there for three days– meeting readers, selling and signing my books, swapping creepy stories, and soaking up every blissful book moment.
I’ll have a designated author table all weekend! When I was invited to join the 2026 lineup, I didn’t hesitate for a second.

As a crime writer, I spend most of my time researching real-life forensics and translating them into fiction that feels authentic but accessible. My readers often tell me they’re drawn to my stories not just because of the suspense, but because of the humanity inside them—the grief, the justice, the redemption that emerges after tragedy.
This retreat feels like an extension of that work. It’s a weekend dedicated to asking the same questions that fuel every great mystery: What drives people to commit terrible acts? What drives others to seek the truth? And why are we, as readers, compelled to follow those stories until the final reveal?
